EJ is the first Korean student-actually, the first international student-to be hired by the University of the Arts, School of Music.

- ICON: May 2014

I began working professionally with EJ Park after she received her master’s degree from The University of the Arts in May 2013. Our recent collaborative projects on recordings and gigs have been rewarding musical experiences. A ballad singer in the tradition of Shirley Horn and Billie Holiday, she connects with audiences in a remarkable way. She also writes wonderfully inventive tunes and improvises like a horn player. Truly, a special vocalist with impeccable intonation and taste!

- Don Glanden (Composer, Pianist, Educator)

Bravo for the video clip of Good Morning Heartache. I think EJ has a beautiful sound and she sings with emotion. These days those qualities are hard to find in a singer!
Sara Lazarus (Internationally acclaimed vocalist, Winner of 1st Prize: International Festival of Thelonious Monk - 1994)

South Korea-born, Philly-raised new jazz album

Park has just released her inaugural recording All Because of You, a collection of beautiful originals written by Park, Suzanne Cloud of Jazz Bridge, and Don Glanden, pianist/composer and head of jazz graduate studies at U of A . Glanden is also co-producing the date. The combination of Park's singing and Glanden's playing is simply gorgeous, and as close as anyone can get to perfection in an imperfect art. Park's tone is crystal clear and cliché free, and her inventions are her own. As for Don Glanden, each note, change, and inversion is a gem. Buy this album. Then buy another one.
